"...And The Earth Was Filled With Violence." Transgender Axed Customers in Convenience Store.

This horrific attack took place in 2017, with the attacker Evie Amati being sentenced to 9 years in prison for attempted murder. On Monday, the sentence was appealed by prosecutors, however, and on Monday one court of appeal justice presiding over the case acknowledged it didn’t go far enough to recognize the real horror of Amati’s crimes.
“She armed herself with an axe and a knife,” wrote Court of Appeal Justice Peter Johnson.“ This is not a case of violence by way of assaults or even more serious non-homicidal attacks. She came upon two complete strangers in the convenience store and made concerted efforts to kill each of them with that being her intention.”
This story never saw the amount of media coverage that it deserved. Why? Because it doesn't fit the narrative of the far-left media. Far too often, we find those from the left as violent. From Antifa, anti-Trump protestors to the Proud Boys, they become increasingly more violent from one day to the next. What is changing in our world? What is causing this drastic increase in violence in the world today? Our streets are turning into war zones, and bystanders are being attacked for nearly having a different point of view.
The problem is the heart. Man's heart is wicked. The Bible lays it out for us in Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" As we come closer to the end and the return of Jesus Christ, the Word of God tells us that this world will become more and more violent. Genesis 6:11 "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence." In Noah's day, the world was a violent and wicked place; attacks like this were commonplace. Just as the Bible tells us that we will come full circle back to a similar world, Matthew 24:37 "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
Is out hope in electing someone to office to fix everything? That won't happen. Is our hope accepting everyone's sins even if it comprises our convictions? No. Our hope, as the old hymnal says it, "our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness." The only hope for humanity is Jesus Christ. Take the life of the Apostle Paul; he describes himself as the chief of sinners; 1 Timothy "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief." Paul was a terrorist, murdering Christians for not denouncing their faith. What changed in his life? He encountered the Lord Jesus Christ, and his life was never the same.
Our hope is spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ into a sick, wicked, and violent world that needs it. Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
Romans 10:10-13 "For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
